Mathura District, Uttar Pradesh

Mathura District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 400 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Mathura. Hindi, Braj and Urdu are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,340 km², including 3,185.74 km² of rural area and 154.26 km² of urban area.
