Darjeeling District, West Bengal
Darjeeling District is an administrative district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is situated about 600 km from Kolkata, the state capital of West Bengal. The district headquarters is located at Darjeeling. Bengali, Nepali, Lepcha and Tibetan are among the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,149 km², including 2,995.51 km² of rural area and 153.49 km² of urban area.
