Jalpaiguri District, West Bengal
Jalpaiguri is an administrative district in West Bengal, India. The district is located about 600 km from Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. Its administrative headquarters is in Jalpaiguri. Bengali, Rajbongshi and Nepali are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 6,227 km², including 5,859.70 km² of rural area and 367.30 km² of urban area.
