Darrang District, Assam

Darrang is an administrative district in Assam, India. The district is located about 100 km from Dispur, the capital of Assam. Its administrative headquarters is in Mangaldoi. Assamese, Bengali and Bodo are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 1,585 km², including 1,572.61 km² of rural area and 12.39 km² of urban area.
