Lakhimpur District, Assam

Lakhimpur is an administrative district in Assam, India. The district is located about 320 km from Dispur, the capital of Assam. Its administrative headquarters is in North Lakhimpur. Assamese and Mishing are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 2,277 km², including 2,240.85 km² of rural area and 36.15 km² of urban area.
