Araria District, Bihar

Araria is an administrative district in Bihar, India. The district is located about 310 km from Patna, the capital of Bihar. Its administrative headquarters is in Araria. Hindi, Maithili and Bengali are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 2,830 km², including 2,778.93 km² of rural area and 51.07 km² of urban area.
