Purnia District, Bihar
Purnia is an administrative district in Bihar, India. The district is located about 300 km from Patna, the capital of Bihar. Its administrative headquarters is in Purnia. Hindi, Maithili and Bengali are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 3,229 km², including 3,100.82 km² of rural area and 128.18 km² of urban area.
