Nalanda District, Bihar
Nalanda is an administrative district in Bihar, India. The district is located about 75 km from Patna, the capital of Bihar. Its administrative headquarters is in Bihar Sharif. Hindi and Magahi are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 2,355 km², including 2,242.09 km² of rural area and 112.91 km² of urban area.
