Solan District, Himachal Pradesh
Solan is an administrative district in Himachal Pradesh, India. The district is located about 45 km from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Its administrative headquarters is in Solan. Hindi and Pahari are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 1,936 km², including 1,902.63 km² of rural area and 33.37 km² of urban area.
