Solan District, Himachal Pradesh
Solan District is an administrative district in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is situated about 45 km from Shimla, the state capital of Himachal Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Solan. Hindi and Pahari are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,936 km², including 1,902.63 km² of rural area and 33.37 km² of urban area.
