Badgam

Badgam is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir State of India. Total area of Badgam is 1,361 km² including 1,311.95 km² rural area and 49.05 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Badgam has a population of 7,53,745 peoples, out of which urban population is 97,912 while rural population is 6,55,833. Badgam has a sex ratio of approximately 893 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 554 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,03,363 houses in the district, including 13,946 urban houses and 89,417 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 462 villages in badgam district.

The Badgam district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
