Deoghar District, Jharkhand

Deoghar District is an administrative district in the state of Jharkhand, India. It is situated about 250 km from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. The district headquarters is located at Deoghar. Hindi, Santhali and Bengali are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 2,477 km², including 2,345.26 km² of rural area and 131.74 km² of urban area.
