Dumka District, Jharkhand

Dumka District is an administrative district in the state of Jharkhand, India. It is situated about 280 km from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. The district headquarters is located at Dumka. Hindi, Santhali and Bengali are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,761 km², including 3,733.75 km² of rural area and 27.25 km² of urban area.
