Dhanbad District, Jharkhand
Dhanbad District is an administrative district in the state of Jharkhand, India. It is situated about 160 km from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. The district headquarters is located at Dhanbad. Hindi, Bengali and Santhali are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 2,040 km², including 1,684.77 km² of rural area and 355.23 km² of urban area.
