Bokaro District, Jharkhand

Bokaro District is an administrative district in the state of Jharkhand, India. It is situated about 95 km from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. The district headquarters is located at Bokaro. Hindi, Bengali and Santhali are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 2,883 km², including 2,446.21 km² of rural area and 436.79 km² of urban area.
