Bengaluru South is an administrative district in Karnataka, India. The district is located about 15 km from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Its administrative headquarters is in Bangalore. Kannada, English, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 3,516 km², including 3,473.56 km² of rural area and 42.44 km² of urban area.
