Kolar District, Karnataka

Kolar District is an administrative district in the state of Karnataka, India. It is situated about 75 km from Bengaluru, the state capital of Karnataka. The district headquarters is located at Kolar. Kannada and Telugu are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,979 km², including 3,858.05 km² of rural area and 120.95 km² of urban area.
