Chikkaballapura District is an administrative district in the state of Karnataka, India. It is situated about 60 km from Bengaluru, the state capital of Karnataka. The district headquarters is located at Chikkaballapur. Kannada and Telugu are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,244 km², including 4,186.67 km² of rural area and 57.33 km² of urban area.
