Chikkaballapura is an administrative district in Karnataka, India. The district is located about 60 km from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Its administrative headquarters is in Chikkaballapur. Kannada and Telugu are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 4,244 km², including 4,186.67 km² of rural area and 57.33 km² of urban area.
