Kollam District, Kerala

Kollam is an administrative district in Kerala, India. The district is located about 70 km from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. Its administrative headquarters is in Kollam. Malayalam is the major language spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 2,483 km², including 2,066.75 km² of rural area and 416.25 km² of urban area.
