Palakkad District, Kerala

Palakkad is an administrative district in Kerala, India. The district is located about 280 km from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. Its administrative headquarters is in Palakkad. Malayalam and Tamil are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 4,482 km², including 4,082.31 km² of rural area and 399.69 km² of urban area.
