Palakkad District, Kerala

Palakkad District is an administrative district in the state of Kerala, India. It is situated about 280 km from Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital of Kerala. The district headquarters is located at Palakkad. Malayalam and Tamil are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,482 km², including 4,082.31 km² of rural area and 399.69 km² of urban area.
