Sangli District, Maharashtra
Sangli is an administrative district in Maharashtra, India. The district is located about 390 km from Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. Its administrative headquarters is in Sangli. Marathi and Kannada (southern) are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 8,572 km², including 8,217.72 km² of rural area and 354.28 km² of urban area.
