Solapur District, Maharashtra

Solapur District is an administrative district in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is situated about 400 km from Mumbai, the state capital of Maharashtra. The district headquarters is located at Solapur. Marathi and Kannada are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 14,895 km², including 14,531.91 km² of rural area and 363.09 km² of urban area.
