Kolhapur District, Maharashtra
Kolhapur District is an administrative district in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is situated about 380 km from Mumbai, the state capital of Maharashtra. The district headquarters is located at Kolhapur. Marathi and Kannada (southern parts) are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 7,685 km², including 7,344.96 km² of rural area and 340.04 km² of urban area.
