Kolhapur District, Maharashtra
Kolhapur is an administrative district in Maharashtra, India. The district is located about 380 km from Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. Its administrative headquarters is in Kolhapur. Marathi and Kannada (southern parts) are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 7,685 km², including 7,344.96 km² of rural area and 340.04 km² of urban area.
