Kapurthala District, Punjab

Kapurthala District is an administrative district in the state of Punjab, India. It is situated about 95 km from Chandigarh, the state capital of Punjab. The district headquarters is located at Kapurthala. Punjabi is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,633 km², including 1,543.37 km² of rural area and 89.63 km² of urban area.
