Rupnagar District, Punjab

Rupnagar District is an administrative district in the state of Punjab, India. It is situated about 45 km from Chandigarh, the state capital of Punjab. The district headquarters is located at Rupnagar. Punjabi is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,356 km², including 1,300.40 km² of rural area and 55.60 km² of urban area.
