Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar District is an administrative district in the state of Punjab, India. It is situated about 60 km from Chandigarh, the state capital of Punjab. The district headquarters is located at Nawanshahr. Punjabi is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,282 km², including 1,214.65 km² of rural area and 67.35 km² of urban area.
