Chitrakoot

Chitrakoot is a district in the Uttar Pradesh State of India. Total area of Chitrakoot is 3,216 km² including 3,187.23 km² rural area and 28.77 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Chitrakoot has a population of 9,91,730 peoples, out of which urban population is 96,332 while rural population is 8,95,398. Chitrakoot has a sex ratio of approximately 879 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 308 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,68,232 houses in the district, including 16,954 urban houses and 1,51,278 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 562 villages in chitrakoot district.
