Chitrakoot District, Uttar Pradesh

Chitrakoot District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 270 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Karwi. Hindi and Bundeli are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,216 km², including 3,187.23 km² of rural area and 28.77 km² of urban area.
