Gorakhpur District, Uttar Pradesh
Gorakhpur is an administrative district in Uttar Pradesh, India. The district is located about 270 km from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Its administrative headquarters is in Gorakhpur. Hindi, Bhojpuri and Avadhi are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 3,321 km², including 3,106.35 km² of rural area and 214.65 km² of urban area.
