Azamgarh District, Uttar Pradesh
Azamgarh is an administrative district in Uttar Pradesh, India. The district is located about 240 km from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Its administrative headquarters is in Azamgarh. Hindi and Bhojpuri are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 4,054 km², including 3,967.23 km² of rural area and 86.77 km² of urban area.
