Jaunpur is an administrative district in Uttar Pradesh, India. The district is located about 220 km from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Its administrative headquarters is in Jaunpur. Hindi and Bhojpuri are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 4,038 km², including 3,977.69 km² of rural area and 60.31 km² of urban area.
