Mau District, Uttar Pradesh

Mau District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 265 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Mau. Hindi and Bhojpuri are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,713 km², including 1,619.79 km² of rural area and 93.21 km² of urban area.
