Ballia District, Uttar Pradesh

Ballia District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 330 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Ballia. Hindi and Bhojpuri are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 2,981 km², including 2,912.80 km² of rural area and 68.20 km² of urban area.
