Kaushambi District is an administrative district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated about 195 km from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Manjhanpur. Hindi is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 1,779 km², including 1,721.83 km² of rural area and 57.17 km² of urban area.
