Sonbhadra District, Uttar Pradesh

Sonbhadra is an administrative district in Uttar Pradesh, India. The district is located about 340 km from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Its administrative headquarters is in Robertsganj. Hindi, Bhojpuri and Oraon (tribal) are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 6,905 km², including 6,779.57 km² of rural area and 125.43 km² of urban area.
