East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh

East Godavari District is an administrative district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is situated about 180 km from Amaravati, the state capital of Andhra Pradesh. The district headquarters is located at Rajamahendravaram. Telugu is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 10,807 km², including 10,506.56 km² of rural area and 300.44 km² of urban area.
