West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh

West Godavari is an administrative district in Andhra Pradesh, India. The district is located about 120 km from Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Its administrative headquarters is in Bhimavaram. Telugu is the major language spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 7,742 km², including 7,586.61 km² of rural area and 155.39 km² of urban area.
