Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh is a state located in the southern region of India. It was established on 01-Nov-1956. The capital of the state is Amaravati. Visakhapatnam is the largest city. The official language is Telugu. An additional official language is Urdu. Major rivers of Andhra Pradesh include Krishna, Godavari, Tungabhadra, Penna.
As per Census 2011, Andhra Pradesh has a total geographical area of 160,205 square kilometres, including 156,086 square kilometres of rural area and 4,119 square kilometres of urban area.
The state has a bicameral legislature with 25 Lok Sabha seats, 11 Rajya Sabha seats, 175 Vidhan Sabha seats. Judicial matters are handled by the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh shares borders with Telangana, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu.
