Ahmedabad District, Gujarat

Ahmedabad District is an administrative district in the state of Gujarat, India. It is situated about 30 km from Gandhinagar, the state capital of Gujarat. The district headquarters is located at Ahmedabad. Gujarati and Hindi are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 8,107 km², including 7,186.56 km² of rural area and 920.44 km² of urban area.
