Gujarat
Gujarat is an Indian state located in the Western region of India. It was established on 01-May-1960. The capital of the state is Gandhinagar. Ahmedabad is the largest city. The official languages are Gujarati, Hindi. Major rivers include Sabarmati, Narmada, Tapi, Mahi.
As per Census 2011, the total area of the state is 196,244 square kilometres, including 188,839 square kilometres of rural area and 7,405 square kilometres of urban area.
The state has a unicameral legislature with 26 Lok Sabha seats, 11 Rajya Sabha seats, 182 Vidhan Sabha seats. Judicial matters are handled by the Gujarat High Court. Gujarat shares borders with Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, The Dadra And Nagar Haveli And Daman And Diu, and has an international border with Pakistan.
