Khunti is a district in the Jharkhand State of India. Total area of Khunti is 2,535 km² including 2,500.70 km² rural area and 34.30 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Khunti has a population of 5,31,885 peoples, out of which urban population is 44,982 while rural population is 4,86,903. The district has a population density of 209.8 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,03,700 houses in the district, including 9,055 urban houses and 94,645 rural houses.
