Simdega District, Jharkhand

Simdega District is an administrative district in the state of Jharkhand, India. It is situated about 100 km from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. The district headquarters is located at Simdega. Hindi, Oraon, Mundari and Ho are among the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,774 km², including 3,738.00 km² of rural area and 36.00 km² of urban area.
