Kodagu

Kodagu is a district in the Karnataka State of India. Total area of Kodagu is 4,102 km² including 4,075.40 km² rural area and 26.60 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Kodagu has a population of 5,54,519 peoples, out of which urban population is 80,988 while rural population is 4,73,531. Kodagu has a sex ratio of approximately 1019 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 135 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 1,42,716 houses in the district, including 20,727 urban houses and 1,21,989 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 291 villages in kodagu district.
