Hassan District, Karnataka

Hassan District is an administrative district in the state of Karnataka, India. It is situated about 190 km from Bengaluru, the state capital of Karnataka. The district headquarters is located at Hassan. Kannada is the main language spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 6,814 km², including 6,732.78 km² of rural area and 81.22 km² of urban area.
