Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka

Dakshina Kannada District is an administrative district in the state of Karnataka, India. It is situated about 360 km from Bengaluru, the state capital of Karnataka. The district headquarters is located at Mangalore. Tulu, Kannada, Konkani and Beary are among the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 4,861 km², including 4,309.74 km² of rural area and 551.26 km² of urban area.
