Uttara Kannada District, Karnataka

Uttara Kannada District is an administrative district in the state of Karnataka, India. It is situated about 490 km from Bengaluru, the state capital of Karnataka. The district headquarters is located at Karwar. Kannada, Konkani and Havyaka are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 10,277 km², including 10,024.22 km² of rural area and 252.78 km² of urban area.
