Vijayapura District, Karnataka
Vijayapura is an administrative district in Karnataka, India. The district is located about 520 km from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Its administrative headquarters is in Bijapur. Kannada, Urdu and Marathi are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 10,498 km², including 10,234.53 km² of rural area and 263.47 km² of urban area.
