Vijayapura District, Karnataka

Vijayapura District is an administrative district in the state of Karnataka, India. It is situated about 520 km from Bengaluru, the state capital of Karnataka. The district headquarters is located at Bijapur. Kannada, Urdu and Marathi are the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 10,498 km², including 10,234.53 km² of rural area and 263.47 km² of urban area.
