Raigarh

Raigarh is a district in the Maharashtra State of India. Total area of Raigarh is 7,152 km² including 6,885.50 km² rural area and 266.50 km² urban area. As per 2011 stats, Raigarh has a population of 26,34,200 peoples, out of which urban population is 9,70,195 while rural population is 16,64,005. Raigarh has a sex ratio of approximately 959 females for every 1,000 males. The district has a population density of 368.3 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 6,11,790 houses in the district, including 2,30,586 urban houses and 3,81,204 rural houses. When it comes to villages, there are about 1,860 villages in raigarh district.

The Raigarh district is further divided in to Tehsils / Blocks / PS / Community Development Blocks (C.D.Blocks) for administrative purposes.
