Chandel District, Manipur

Chandel District is an administrative district in the state of Manipur, India. It is situated about 60 km from Imphal, the state capital of Manipur. The district headquarters is located at Chandel. Tangkul, Anal, Lamkang and Meitei are among the main languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total geographical area of 3,313 km², including 3,312.00 km² of rural area and 1.00 km² of urban area.
