Sambalpur District, Odisha

Sambalpur is an administrative district in Odisha, India. The district is located about 320 km from Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. Its administrative headquarters is in Sambalpur. Odia and Sambalpuri are the major languages spoken in the district. The district covers a total area of 6,624 km², including 6,467.75 km² of rural area and 156.25 km² of urban area.
