Odisha
Odisha is a state located in the eastern region of India. It was established on 26-Jan-1950. The capital of the state is Bhubaneswar. The official language is Odia. Major rivers of Odisha include Mahanadi, Brahmani, Baitarani, Subarnarekha, Rushikulya.
As per Census 2011, Odisha has a total geographical area of 155,707 square kilometres, including 152,355 square kilometres of rural area and 3,352 square kilometres of urban area.
The state has a unicameral legislature with 21 Lok Sabha seats, 10 Rajya Sabha seats, 147 Vidhan Sabha seats. Judicial matters are handled by the Orissa High Court. Odisha shares borders with Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Telangana.
